Metering Code

Section 72 of the Water Supply and Sewerage Services Act and clause 9.1(e) of Power and Water Corporation's water supply services licence requires that Power and Water Corporation, as licensee, must develop and publish a code setting out the arrangements and conditions for installing, testing, verifying and replacing meters owned by Power and Water, and that this code must be submitted to the Commission for consideration and approval. For more information, see Register of Water Sewerage Licences on issue.

In July 2006, Power and Water Corporation sought the Commission's approval for some revisions to the approved Code. The Commission approved the revised Code as the proposed changes submitted by Power and Water Corporation do not alter the Code substantially enough to be considered inconsistent with the objects of the Act.

For more information, see Register of Water Sewerage Licences on issue.

The Code has been developed by Power and Water Corporation in conjunction with industry participants.
